Traditionally FACE holds its Christmas Fair on the first Saturday of December – between 11am and 3pm.

It is held in the outpatients reception area at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre – Western General Hospital.

It is a real family occasion – with stalls, entertainment, games, tombolas, refreshments, raffle, Santa’s grotto.

Entry free – and all welcome.

Each year FACE arrange for a group of children to meet Santa Claus in Lapland. It is a wonderful experience for the children – many of them very ill or recovering from treatment.

The dedicated support party, who look after the children, are led by Trustee John Macaulay – who organises the trip.

For the last few years FACE have taken part in the Festival Cavalcade – thanks to the valued support we receive from Chaplins Disco.

With the Chaplins Disco bus converted to FACE for a day – it is a great way to publicise the charity with the streets of Edinburgh packed to see the cavalcade.

This year the Cavalcade was again held in Holyrood Park on Sunday 8 August. It was a brilliant day - see pictures.

Hop on board.

Each year our friends in Musselburgh hold a coffee afternoon to raise funds for FACE.

Traditionally held in the Loretto Hall between 2pm and 4pm - there are a range of stalls, tombolas and refreshments. The "Wheel of Fortune" is also a local favourite.

Over the years - come rain or shine - it has always been an enjoyable and successful fundraising event.

This year the fair is being held on Saturday 30 October.

F.A.C.E. and Radio Forth are holding their annual Golf Day on Friday 24th September at Liberton Golf Club, Edinburgh.

It is joint fundraising event that will benefit FACE and the Radio Forth appeal "Cash for Kids". The Radio Forth team led by Boogie play against a FACE team led by one of our Trustee Craig Purves.

If you would like to take part please contact FACE Trustee Craig Purves at craigpurves@yahoo.co.uk.
