We aim to provide funds that will help make a patients stay in hospital – while they undergo treatment for cancer - more comfortable and relaxing.
The funds are earmarked to support initiatives that have come from suggestions made by patients, their relatives / visitors or staff. They know from first hand experience what would help.
We have found that it is often providing small, tangible things that make a real difference.
The name FACE comes from the first letters of “Fighting Against Cancer in Edinburgh”. You may see in some places that we have added South East Scotland to reflect the fact that we help cancer clinics outside of Edinburgh.
You can contact us by E Mail or phone (see “Contact Us”) and we will aim to get back to you as soon as possible with an answer to your enquiry.
The Friends of FACE meet on the last Monday of every month (except December) and you are more than welcome to come along to hear about what is on the go. The meeting starts at 6.15pm and is held in the relatives room of Ward 2 at the Western General Hospital.
